Why director pages matter
Reviewing films individually tells you whether a film is worth your time. Grouping them by director tells you something different: how a filmmaker's concerns develop, which decisions recur, and where a career changes direction.
We only create a profile for directors with at least one full review in our collection, and we add to them as the library grows. Average scores are shown for context rather than as a ranking device, since a director with one great film will outscore one with five good ones.
